About

 A unique serious play approach that any senior leader, manager or team can use across the wider organisation to reflect on and act upon to overcome the challenges they face.

  

The game provides any senior team and/or executive education provider with an easy and accessible step to envision, articulate and begin the process of enabling their organisation to become more humane, high performing and productive.



Who is this game designed for?

This is a serious play intervention that anyone can engage with, with their own management or leadership team. As a team, you can freely self-facilitate and engage in this insightful, and developmental process.


It provides users with a high-level introduction to the concepts in The Management Shift® book. It enables individuals and teams to engage in an effective intervention even if participants have not yet read the book or experienced the 6 Box Leadership diagnostic tool or one of the organisational transformation programmes. 

Purpose of the game

The purpose of the game is to identify specific actions that the group or organisation commit to work on to create better business agility by taking time to reflect on the Metaview, Value Creation themes and Typical Obstacles that might hinder success.

The game at a glance

By engaging in the game participants: 

  • Will find a safe space for experiential learning,
  • Are introduced to the vocabulary, structure and philosophy of The Management Shift® approach that is suitable for both the senior team and the wider organisation,
  • REFLECT ON and start to explore the Value Creation themes in their organisation and the impact they are having on their organisation,
  • Consider the TYPICAL OBSTACLES they might encounter which are informed by Professor Hlupic’s extensive research and experience, 
  • Finally understand HOW to practically start to address these and take ACTION.

Duration and number of players

Allow 60-90 minutes with up to 4 players.

Humane Capital board game

About

An innovative strategy game to start the 'Big Shift' to a more humane organisation.


Explore the steps that businesses need to take in order to become a ‘good’ organisation, doing well. It is based on research presented in the 'Humane Capital' book and through gamification, the Humane Capital vision and methodology can be shared and cascaded easily and effectively to a diverse audience.   


Delivering an alternative, practical approach that any employer can implement in order to overcome the unique challenges faced by their organisation. 

Purpose of the game

The purpose of the game is to identify one specific action that the group/organisation commits to work on to start the shift to a more humane organisation, selecting the most appropriate sector specific strategy to use to do this. 

Who is the game designed for?

The game provides any senior team and executive education providers with an easy and accessible step to envision, articulate and begin the process of enabling their organisation to become more humane, high performing and productive. 


We suggest that the Senior Team plays the game initially.

The game at a glance

Use the unique card decks to open up meaningful dialogue to explore the three time perspectives on key insights from Humane Capital within a group of up to eight players. 


The game: 

  • Provides a safe environment for experiential learning, 
  • Introduces the vocabulary, structure and philosophy of the Humane Capital® approach to the senior team, 
  • Enables the Humane Capital vision to be shared and cascaded with the wider organisation, 
  • Provides insight into the 8 Pillars and their impact on the organisation and HOW to practically start to address these, 
  • Facilitates a clearer understanding of the impact of mindset and motivation on the organisation, 
  • Helps the team recognise the potential ‘barriers to shifting’, enabling the team to identify clear sector specific strategies to start the ‘shift’ .
